About Me

Well......Actually, it's about me. I had started mobiledesigner.com 3 years ago for the sole purpose of making nice, easy to access mobile websites. I have been designing and developing mobile websites since then. I am currently working for a mobile website content providing company in Tokyo, Japan as a Flash Lite Developer. I dont want to boast, but I must say that I am the first to develop 3D animation on mobile devices. I did this during the Spring of 2004. I was very excited since I had the opportunity to live in Japan and play with Japanese phones. During this time, the only 3D graphic software that exoprted easily into flashlite 1.0 (flash 4) was Swift3D. So, I contacted the developer there and requested a Flash 4 3D animation that was under 10Kb. She sent me the animation, and then I embedded it into cHTML (the language used by NTT DoCoMo) and it worked! After that, I played a lot more with Flash animation and became really good at it.

I am 34 years-old, from Dallas, Texas (very patriotic Texan) and love cats! I speak enough Japanese to live my life, but think that I should learn more. But I have been too damn busy keeping up with the new mobile technology. What I can advise you all new mobile developers is to keep your eye on Korean and Japanese mobile technology. Western mobile technology is very old. Its like you are driving in your car playing an 8-track. How would you feel driving around with your 8-track with the other guys who are playing their i-pods and Microsoft Zune? So let's help the mobile technology expand and make great mobile websites for the world! Use xHTML. NOT wap programming. WAP is like an 8-track. The tech nerds may shun you and say that you are stupid for not using WAP. Well, WAP can stay on only one side of the world. Using xHTML will make your tiny, little mobile website be viewed in the whole world!

I really hope that you find this website the center-point of your mobile designing world. If you have any requests, suggestions, complaints, etc, feel free to drop me an email. So let's start making mobile websites with your Apple I-pod and Microsoft Zune player and STOP USING YOUR 8-track!!!!!!!
